The EIB has been working with talented African researchers and top global experts to assess the Bank’s development impacts in Africa. This report presents the first studies under this joint programme with the Global Development Network. The research examines the profile of the Bank’s beneficiaries and how they are affected by EIB operations, using primary data, in-depth analysis and academically rigorous methodologies. The lessons learned should help the Bank to further enhance its contribution to sustainable and inclusive development. Furthermore, this programme is enhancing capacity for impact studies by training a set of talented young researchers from a number of African countries.
