The European Investment Bank (EIB) is providing a promotional loan of €425 million to German automotive supplier ZF Friedrichshafen AG. The funds will enable ZF to invest a total of €1.3 billion in research and development of innovative technologies for braking and steering systems, actively shaping the switch to software-defined vehicles.
The European Investment Bank (EIB) supports the construction of a new 1.1-Gigawatt wind farm in the North Sea by German company RWE with a loan of €1.2 billion. The Thor wind farm in the Danish part of the North Sea will be the largest in Denmark, consisting of 72 wind turbines with 15 MW capacity each. The wind farm will be capable of producing enough green electricity to supply the equivalent of more than a million Danish households, or one in three Danish households.
The European Investment Bank (EIB) Group — consisting of the European Investment Bank and the European Investment Fund (EIF) — and Deutsche Bank have signed an agreement to promote climate-friendly new buildings and energy-efficient home modernisation in Germany. The aim is to support private individuals in Germany by granting them low-interest loans when building new, climate-friendly houses or when modernising their houses to make them more climate-friendly with a focus on energy efficiency.
