To be considered for one of our positions, you will need to have a degree in Law, complemented, as requested, by a recognised professional qualification, and relevant practical experience (at least three years for an Associate Lawyer role, and as stipulated for a more senior or managerial role). If you satisfy these requirements, we can offer you a career within the following functions:

Management

Leading teams of lawyers, driving our strategy and bringing out the best in your people, you will ensure the accomplishment of our mission.

Banking and finance law

Supporting the negotiation and execution of a wide variety of transactions, you will intervene at the heart of our core lending and investment business.

Capital markets and treasury law

Advising on complex, market-leading transactions, you will use your expertise in securities law and financial markets.

HR law

Advising and supporting our HR function on contentious and non-contentious matters, you will draw on your background in employment law and conditions – in particular relating to EU institutions and bodies.

Institutional, corporate and litigation law

Representing the Bank’s legal services in internal meetings, you will provide legal advice and solutions on institutional issues linked to the Bank as a body of the EU.

Procurement law

Developing and monitoring procurement procedures, negotiating contracts for the provision of services, you will help deliver the best value in the purchase of goods and services.

Regulatory law

You will provide expertise and guidance on the interpretation and/or the implementation of regulatory policy matters, as they impact on the legal, compliance and risk activities at the Bank as well as on its treasury, finance, market structure and government relations.
